The accisental Taxonomist

Recently I am start reading a book called “The Accidental Taxonomist” by Heather Hedden. Just curious about what Taxonomists do.

Although I have been a cataloger for two years, I know there is a big difference between cataloging and taxonomy. Especially as I understand taxonomy is more related to corporate world.

This should sever my notes as I reading through the book.

SLA is doing 23 things

SLA 23 things

I think I would like to participate in the learning.

What is 23 things?

I learned about 23 things at the beginning of this year when I was in the process of job hunting. I am very interested in learning more about Web2.0 technologies.

The original 23 Things was from Public Library of Charlotte and Mecklenberg County. This program has inspired over 200 libraries to launch their own learning programs for learning Web2.0.

Camtasia vs Captivate

Okay. This is my first post in my WordPress.

As I decided that I want to learn about screencasting software, I learned there are two great software in the world. Camtasia and Adobe Captivate. Our school has a license with Captivate so I asked our IT folks installed it on my computer. Today I installed Camtasia 5 on my personal pc. Before I really get into them, there are some reviews out there that I would like to read first.

Let me finish them first and talk about my experience later since I just started using them.
